This is a car covered in mud and dirt. The driver understands that they are driving in a muddy environment. They don’t stop to clean the rest of the car first. Instead, they ensure that the windscreen is clean and clear as they continue driving.
In many ways, this represents our pursuits in life, whether it’s the struggles we face or any other venture. Will life throw mud at you? Most definitely! Will people throw dirt all over you? Hell yeah! Will challenges and tribulations come your way? Assuredly! Are there people who will label you, criticize you, and throw all sorts of insults at you? As sure as day follows night!
The question is, what do you do when this happens? Your attitude will determine your altitude. Your response will determine whether you sink or swim, fly or collapse!
As mud comes at you from all sides, keep your focus on the journey. Don’t turn to the left or right; keep looking ahead. Let everything else be covered in mud, but not your eyesight.
Nothing helps the enemy more than seeing you stop every time to concentrate on the dirt they throw at you. That’s their intention in the first place. On the other hand, nothing destroys the enemy more than seeing you stay focused on the cause and the path, despite all the mud they throw at you. That’s the only way you can reach your destination.
May God help all of us to maintain our vision, stay focused on the bigger picture, and keep the faith!
